The benefit of powder foundation

Powder foundation, not a lot of people  know the difference between powder foundation and normal foundation, I will share more here, so if you have oily skin then this post is for you.

I know having a oily skin makes it very difficult to get the perfect foundation and to tone down oily shine, dealing with excess oil can be frustrating at times, but not to worry cause I will be sharing more on the benefit of powder foundation, how it works and who can use this product.

As the base of makeup, the choice of foundation is probably the most important factor, the correct colour and consistency of foundation helps hide blemishes and also highlights attractive features.

The benefit
It can be used by people with problem skin, it sits on the skin condition, it's not aggravated even with regular use. Powder Foundation are available in Matte, Sheer and Satin finishes and give a very good coverage in relation to the quality used. Powder foundation are mostly used in hot countries, they are very popular in areas with a hot climate.

Who can use it
They are best suited for people with oily skin. The powder foundation soaks up the excess oil and tone down shine. Problem area for oily skin are the forehead and noise, the good news is that they are available in the entire spectrum of skin tones.

Powder foundation that are available as loose powder should be applied with a foundation Brush, but if it is in form of a pressed powder then apply with a powder puff. It's very easy to use.

Makeup when correctly applied, makes a person look youthful and glowing, wrong makeup choices can make a beautiful face look like a mask or a clown lol.
So it is very important to always try to get it right at all times.

Ciate London / Olivia Palermo lipstick review

Hi Beauties
Today's post is giving me so much joy and I know you all will love this one.
I will be reviewing the Ciate London in collaboration with Olivia Palermo lipstick range as i promised in November post.

Ciate London company is well known for their nail polish collection, their nail polish are absolutely gorgeous. I have tried most of their makeup and i can tell you that they are very decent and well packaged, talking about packaging these lipsticks are in a very pretty gold and black boxes. All four lipsticks are pigmented, smooth and wearable.

Truffle, Praline and Cashmere are all nude colours, they are creamy and have a satin finish that looks gorgeous on the lips, these nude lipsticks will go on nicely on the lips without lip liner and will still look amazing. You will only need one of these three nude lipsticks depending on your skin tone. ( Truffle will make a perfect ombré lips).

Praline is the perfect nude colour for me as I have medium brown skin tone. Cashmere and Truffle are too pale for me, as you can see in the picture above, they both look similar on my lips, they look more of a super nude than a natural nude colour on me.
Velveteen on the other side is a rich deep red colour, I love it, it's not drying at all and looks expensive on the lips.
I have the four lipsticks and what they look like on to show you.
See picture below.

Truffle : a peachy beige colour.

Praline : a nudy brown colour.

Cashmere : a classic beige colour.

Velveteen : a rich deep red colour.

More of the Ciate London nail polish collection soon on the blog.

Effective Skincare Routine

Hi Beauties,
Happy New year! There's no Better way than to start the new year with a fresh and healthy radiant skin.

I know it can be really confusing and stressful to know what to do to get an amazing skin, With all the different brands of facial products out there.
In this post I will share with you some simple step to follow for an amazing skincare routine, from cleanser, exfoliant  toner & moisturiser... Including face masks.

Wash your hands.
You can transfer countless bacteria from the hands to the face, so it is very important to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before touching the face.

You will need a cleanser, toner, exfoliant, moisturiser, cotton pads & face mask.
It's very important to cleanse, tone and moisturise twice a day, once in the morning before makeup and once at night before bed.

Cleansing.
Cleasing will give your skin a chance to heal and breath overnight rather than being clogged by dirt or makeup. Firstly wash your hands and then wet your face with warm water. Apply cleanser and massage it into the skin in a circular motion, leave for a few minutes or more to allow the cleanser to dissolve dirt and makeup and to let it get deep into your pores. Then remove with warm water.
Dry your face gently with a clean face towel.

Toning.
A few minutes after cleansing, tone your face with toner and a cotton pad. Toning will restore your skin back to its natural PH and resist against Bacteria and micro organisms.
Pour out a small amount of toner in to a cotton pad and apply all over the face.
Do not rinse off, just leave it to dry.

Moisturising.
After cleansing and toning is time to moisturise your face. When the toner is dried, apply a small blob of moisturiser, gently massaging in a circular motion into  the face. If your skin is sensitive I will advice to use a separate moisturiser which is designed for the eye area to prevent it from swelling.

Exfoliating.
You should exfoliate once a week, in place of your cleanser. Exfoliating is essential because it will remove dead skin cells which can leave your complexion appearing dull.
Gently massage the exfoliater in outward circular motion for a few minutes, make sure to get into the creases by your nose. In replace of my hands I like to use my face cleansing brush to exfoliate it helps to remove blackheads and dirt from my face.

Face Mask.
Face mask can help you get clearer skin and more refined pores, it will also bring back moisture and hydration to your skin.
Apply a face mask onto your wet face, be sure to avoid the eye area, keep your nostrils clear and extend the mask down to your neck. Every face mask leave in time is different so you should always follow the brand leave in time instructions, but do not leave on for longer than 20 - 30mins. Face mask are designed to adhere to your skin, use plenty of water to wash off the mask and then pat your skin dry. Do not rub.

Everyone should be able to cleanse, tone and moisturise. For a better skin, it's comforting and gets results.

I Hope you all find this post useful thanks for reading.
