Truself Organics detoxifying facial mask review

Hi beauties

I am obsessed with natural skin care products and I am always on a hunt for the perfect face mask, I have been using the TruSelf detoxifying face mask for a while and the result has been amazing so I decided to share my experience with you all, believe me you all need this clay mask in your life.

The TruSelf detoxifying face mask comes just has a powder, you will have to mix it in with water or apple cider vinegar yourself to make a paste before applying to the face. The direction on how to mix the face mask is printed on the label, the leave in time is between 10 - 30mins, I will suggest a spot test if your skin is sensitive, I was comfortable enough to leave the face mask on for 30mins no reaction to my skin what so ever, except  a little redness around my nose.

The TruSelf detoxifying face mask promises.... Powerful detoxifying action works instantly to restore blemish prone -  skin - Toning action helps to reduces discolouration, fine lines Wrinkles and scars and create a glowing even skin complexion, I have blemish prone skin and it has been an issue to find the perfect blemish control and none as worked for me.

I can honestly say that it's has helped dry up my blemish and made my pores appear smaller. Over all this product is really good and has worked for my blemish, as far as discolouration and scares, I don't have any scares but after watching off the mask I notice it has helped smoothen my face, if you have been battling with blemish or have blemish prone skin then you need this mask in your life, it works perfectly.

Sleek Lip VIP lipstick review

I remember buying my first sleek contour kit and instantly fell in love with this brand, I absolutely love their True Colour lipstick range they were so comfortable to wear, I can recall rocking Exxxaggerate a beautiful purple shade, my favourites from the true colour range (Fastforward)...

They release these 6 incredible semi - matte Lip VIP (VERY IMPORTANT POUT) lipsticks, earlier this month (February) about 3 a half weeks ago).  I am a big lipstick fan and I couldn't wait to try them. These 6 lipsticks are retailed for £5.49 pretty good price (right) yessss, for a well packaged and high quality lipstick  sounds pretty good.

These lipsticks are packed with vitamin E , Shea butter and coconut oil, moisturising with a velvety finish, without drying out the lips.

Private Booth - Classic Nude
Flaunt it - Bold Orange
Backstage - Coral Pink
Reserved - Candy Pink
Guest List - Bright Coral
Night Spot - Chic Red

I just love how creamy these lipsticks are, all 6 shades are perfect and wearable for spring, they are very decent and moisturising and not drying at all. My current go to is private booth, I also love Night spot, I featured Night Spot as my Valentine inspired makeup look. ( see previous post for details). However some of this shades are fairly light and you will need to go over your lips a few times to get the true rich colour. I would have loved to see a darker shade in this range, hopefully they will release a darker shade soon.

Valentine's Day makeup look (romantic date night)

Hi beauties,

Its the most romantic night of the year, and If you have bagged yourself a date this vals day well done, now let us get to the most important part of the night, the makeup look that will keep his eyes on you all night.
Valentine's Day makeup should be all about the lips. ( that juicy kissable lips) yessss rocking RED hot lips on Valentine's Day is so romantic and sexy, when it comes to date nights makeup I think less is more so keep the eye makeup soft and effortless but sexy to go with the bold lips.

In this post I will take you thru step by step guide to achieve this romantic date night look.

Brows
Groom your brows and fill in using a brow definer pencil and use highlighter just under the brow bone. Bare in mind that natural appearance is what you want to achieve when grooming the brows.

Eyes
After priming the lid, start will using a silver or a champagne gold eyes shadow on the lid and blend it . Use a vanilla tone eye shadow on the inner corners of your eyes to make them look brighter, enhance your eyes further using a brown/ burgundy eyeshadow to lift the eyes and softly smoke it on the crease, blend it all in for a smooth gradation.

Lash / eyeliner
Apply false lashes of your choice or curl your own natural Lash and use mascara on top and lower lashes.
Use a gel liner or a liquid liner to draw a thin wing liner to accentuate the eyes.

Foundation
Start with a basic base in term of foundation, cover up any pesky blemishes, light coverage foundation will do just fine, if your don't want to look cakey, apply liquid highlighter under your foundation or mix it in with your foundation, it will give your skin enough shimmer for a natural-looking glow.

Blush / highlighter
Make sure to add highlighter that compliment your skin tone and use shimmer blush depending on what goes with your outfit.
Your blush should be more dramatic for evening makeup look.

Lips
Wear a bold red colour to go with this look, red lips are a win, bold red glossy lips for an irresistible pout to ensure your night is sealed with a kiss. Rocking red hot lips on vals day is so romantic and sexy but be sure to keep your lips hydrated with Shea butter.

Follow this makeup guide on vals and your day will definitely be filled with so much love and happiness.

The benefit of powder foundation

Powder foundation, not a lot of people  know the difference between powder foundation and normal foundation, I will share more here, so if you have oily skin then this post is for you.

I know having a oily skin makes it very difficult to get the perfect foundation and to tone down oily shine, dealing with excess oil can be frustrating at times, but not to worry cause I will be sharing more on the benefit of powder foundation, how it works and who can use this product.

As the base of makeup, the choice of foundation is probably the most important factor, the correct colour and consistency of foundation helps hide blemishes and also highlights attractive features.

The benefit
It can be used by people with problem skin, it sits on the skin condition, it's not aggravated even with regular use. Powder Foundation are available in Matte, Sheer and Satin finishes and give a very good coverage in relation to the quality used. Powder foundation are mostly used in hot countries, they are very popular in areas with a hot climate.

Who can use it
They are best suited for people with oily skin. The powder foundation soaks up the excess oil and tone down shine. Problem area for oily skin are the forehead and noise, the good news is that they are available in the entire spectrum of skin tones.

Powder foundation that are available as loose powder should be applied with a foundation Brush, but if it is in form of a pressed powder then apply with a powder puff. It's very easy to use.

Makeup when correctly applied, makes a person look youthful and glowing, wrong makeup choices can make a beautiful face look like a mask or a clown lol.
So it is very important to always try to get it right at all times.

I hope you all find this post useful

Ciate London / Olivia Palermo lipstick review

Hi Beauties
Today's post is giving me so much joy and I know you all will love this one.
I will be reviewing the Ciate London in collaboration with Olivia Palermo lipstick range as i promised in November post.

Ciate London company is well known for their nail polish collection, their nail polish are absolutely gorgeous. I have tried most of their makeup and i can tell you that they are very decent and well packaged, talking about packaging these lipsticks are in a very pretty gold and black boxes. All four lipsticks are pigmented, smooth and wearable.

Truffle, Praline and Cashmere are all nude colours, they are creamy and have a satin finish that looks gorgeous on the lips, these nude lipsticks will go on nicely on the lips without lip liner and will still look amazing. You will only need one of these three nude lipsticks depending on your skin tone. ( Truffle will make a perfect ombré lips).

Praline is the perfect nude colour for me as I have medium brown skin tone. Cashmere and Truffle are too pale for me, as you can see in the picture above, they both look similar on my lips, they look more of a super nude than a natural nude colour on me.
Velveteen on the other side is a rich deep red colour, I love it, it's not drying at all and looks expensive on the lips.
I have the four lipsticks and what they look like on to show you.
See picture below.

Truffle : a peachy beige colour.

Praline : a nudy brown colour.

Cashmere : a classic beige colour.

Velveteen : a rich deep red colour.

More of the Ciate London nail polish collection soon on the blog.

Effective Skincare Routine

Hi Beauties,
Happy New year! There's no Better way than to start the new year with a fresh and healthy radiant skin.

I know it can be really confusing and stressful to know what to do to get an amazing skin, With all the different brands of facial products out there.
In this post I will share with you some simple step to follow for an amazing skincare routine, from cleanser, exfoliant  toner & moisturiser... Including face masks.

Wash your hands.
You can transfer countless bacteria from the hands to the face, so it is very important to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before touching the face.

You will need a cleanser, toner, exfoliant, moisturiser, cotton pads & face mask.
It's very important to cleanse, tone and moisturise twice a day, once in the morning before makeup and once at night before bed.

Cleansing.
Cleasing will give your skin a chance to heal and breath overnight rather than being clogged by dirt or makeup. Firstly wash your hands and then wet your face with warm water. Apply cleanser and massage it into the skin in a circular motion, leave for a few minutes or more to allow the cleanser to dissolve dirt and makeup and to let it get deep into your pores. Then remove with warm water.
Dry your face gently with a clean face towel.

Toning.
A few minutes after cleansing, tone your face with toner and a cotton pad. Toning will restore your skin back to its natural PH and resist against Bacteria and micro organisms.
Pour out a small amount of toner in to a cotton pad and apply all over the face.
Do not rinse off, just leave it to dry.

Moisturising.
After cleansing and toning is time to moisturise your face. When the toner is dried, apply a small blob of moisturiser, gently massaging in a circular motion into  the face. If your skin is sensitive I will advice to use a separate moisturiser which is designed for the eye area to prevent it from swelling.

Exfoliating.
You should exfoliate once a week, in place of your cleanser. Exfoliating is essential because it will remove dead skin cells which can leave your complexion appearing dull.
Gently massage the exfoliater in outward circular motion for a few minutes, make sure to get into the creases by your nose. In replace of my hands I like to use my face cleansing brush to exfoliate it helps to remove blackheads and dirt from my face.

Face Mask.
Face mask can help you get clearer skin and more refined pores, it will also bring back moisture and hydration to your skin.
Apply a face mask onto your wet face, be sure to avoid the eye area, keep your nostrils clear and extend the mask down to your neck. Every face mask leave in time is different so you should always follow the brand leave in time instructions, but do not leave on for longer than 20 - 30mins. Face mask are designed to adhere to your skin, use plenty of water to wash off the mask and then pat your skin dry. Do not rub.

Everyone should be able to cleanse, tone and moisturise. For a better skin, it's comforting and gets results.

I Hope you all find this post useful thanks for reading.
