Happy Holidays...
It's that time of the year and it's exciting pulling out the Christmas tree, decorating the house, wrapping gifts and dinning, all these really lifts the spirit but what I really look forward to is getting glam for the day, Hair & Makeup.....
In this post I will be sharing with you some festive makeup tips.
I love glitters and the holiday season offers the perfect opportunity to express that love, the festive season is the perfect time to try out a whole host of bold looks, So I say be bold and let it sparkle.
Eyebrows.
The brows are noticeable at first so it is important to have a well trimmed brows.
Thin black pencil or overly bushy brows are dated looks that can be distracting rather than enhancing, the shape of the brows affects the appearance of the eyes in so many ways, the over all appearance Of the eye area is defined by the arch, length and thickness of the eyebrows, so natural appearance is what you want to accomplish when shaping your brows.
False Lashes.
If you are not brave enough to wear dramatic lashes in other occasions, Christmas is the perfect time to put them on, they will make your eyes more noticeable, I will recommend human hair lashes over lashes made of synthetic hair, human hair lashes blend easily with the natural lash line and they take mascara much better than synthetic hair and they are even much more comfortable to wear.
Eyeshadow.
Its ok to experiment with eyeshadow colours for Christmas, but what really looks good is glitter fuse with some other Color like purple, blue, gold metallic or just shimmer eyeshadow are perfect for Christmas looks. If you are not much of a shimmer person add slight white / golden eyeshadow to the inner corner of the eyes this will brightens up the whole eyes instantly as seen in the picture above, am actually wearing glitters in the inner corner of my eyes.
Bronzer / Blusher.
Choose the Colors that works for you when it comes to bronzer / blusher, you want a bronzer that is not too dark or too strong, to get that sun kissed look apply bronzer with a light hand, building up in sheer layers. Remember a little goes a long way. Blusher should be applied on the apples of the cheeks, the aim is to add life to the whole ensemble.
Lipstick.
Red lips are for Christmas, if you are going for a dramatic look for Christmas it is good to put a dark red or deep mauve lipstick and shimmer gloss, you will look amazing. You know a deep red lips always comes with a warning so if you are going for a red lips this Christmas then I recommend you keep your eyes relatively simple with just a shine in the inner corner of the eyes or neutral eyes.
